1. How far is it from floor to ceiling at C/L point of chimney?

2. How far is the current chimney (centerline of hole in ceiling) from the wall(s)? OR How far is the current chimney (centerline of hole in wall) from the floor?

3. What is the size and brand of the current chimney?

4. How large is the current hole in the finished material (drywall, etc.)?

5. How far is it through the attic and/or cathedral ceiling/roof space? This needs to be measured on a plumb, vertical plane.

6. Are there any dormers or solar panels or any other roof protrusions within 12’ of the chimney’s location? If so, how tall are they and how far away are they?

7. What is the pitch of the ceiling inside the house?

8. What is the pitch of the roof on top of the house?

9. What is the ceiling material made out of?

10. What is the roofing material?

11. What shape and how large is the current hearth? Is it centered under the current chimney hole? What material is it made from? (pictures are helpful here)

12. Do you want to set the stove parallel to the wall, or catty-corner at a 45 degree angle?
